- Obituary, July 1928:
"William H. [sic] Breuer, died at 2 o'clock Saturday morning at his
home two miles southwest of Wellington, after an illness of several
months. Mr. Breuer was born August 7, 1850, in Des Moines County,
Iowa, and was 77 years and 11 months old. Besides his widow he is
survived by three sons and four daughters, as follows: William and
Albert Breuer of Napoleon; Joseph of Independence; Mrs. George Lay,
Cortez, Colo.; Mrs. Charles Lauch, Mrs. Walter Westerman, and Miss
Mamie Breuer of Wellington; also one sister, Mrs. Matilda Wieshmeyer
[sic], and one brother Charles Breuer, both of Burlington, Iowa;
thirty-one grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral
services were held from the Evangelical church in Wellington Monday
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. W. Bechtold conducted the services.
Burial was in the cemetery at Wellington."
